Carolyn Lavin DeVaughn joined Gross Shuman as a law clerk in August 2019 and then as an attorney in January 2020. She concentrates her practice in estate planning, estate & trust administration, and education law.
Carolyn is currently a member of the Erie County and New York State Bar Associations. During law school, she served as Executive Publications Editor of the Buffalo Law Review Human Rights Journal and a faculty research and writing fellow. She also served on the Executive Boards of the Domestic Violence Task Force and Buffalo Public Interest Law Program.
Prior to attending law school, Carolyn worked in the field of special education and human services, and concentrated her efforts to working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
