Howard B. Cohen concentrates his practice on the prosecution and trial of substantial accident and personal injury claims, which include automobile accidents, wrongful death claims, construction accident and fall-down defect claims. He also prosecutes substantial commercial and securities law and fraud claims.
Howard serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Buffalo Law School, where he instructs trial techniques. His community service includes service on the board of the United Way of Erie County, Kids Escaping Drugs, the Amherst Seniors Foundation, Compass House and Headway Inc. of Western New York.
He has received a number of community service awards. In addition, Howard is active with the National Trial Lawyers Association Top 100 Trial Lawyers, Western Region, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Erie Bar Association committee on Professional Ethics and currently serves as President of the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association. Howard also lectures at continuing legal education programs for attorneys on trial practice and professional ethics.
