Billing/Accounts Receivable Clerk

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Billing
  • Assisting with accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconciliation of vendor accounts including receiving, verifying, and recording vendor invoices

Our billing clerk works closely with our attorneys to:

  • Generate and distribute prebills and review monthly
  • Create and distribute final client bills and monthly statements for clients
  • Answer questions from staff and attorneys regarding billing and A/R

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Experience working with attorneys
  • Experience using Juris or similar time and billing software
  • Experience with TyMetrix 360 and Bottomline Technologies or similar e-billing software
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • The ability to work independently
  • A focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to troubleshoot issues on short notice

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of billing and/or accounts receivable experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and a familiarity with common legal technology tools.

Corporate Attorney

Gross Shuman PC is seeking to add a dynamic attorney with 5-10 years of experience to our busy corporate law practice group. You will be working alongside a team of attorneys with a wide range and depth of experience handling complex corporate transactional matters. General responsibilities may include:

  • Negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts including employment agreements, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, and buy-sell agreements
  •  Overseeing purchase agreements and separation agreements (business divorce)
  • Playing a lead role in mergers and acquisitions of varying sizes across a diverse range of industries
  • Working closely with our clients on matters related to corporate compliance
  • Counseling clients on any and all legal matters related to the formation, operation, protection of, and dissolution of a business entity
  • Working closely with our litigation team to represent corporate clients facing litigation matters
  • Delivering outstanding service to our existing clients while networking and developing new clients for the firm

 

Qualifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in the State of New York
  • 5-10 years of experience in corporate law with a strong foundation in corporate transactions, including M&A work
  • Exemplary communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experienced in negotiations with a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes
     

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$175,000. The actual salary will be based upon a variety of factors including experience, skillset, and other factors as permitted under New York State law.
