Estate Planning

We work in a compassionate, attentive, and cost-effective manner to help individuals, families and business owners protect and preserve the assets they have acquired and businesses they have built.

We implement individualized plans plans to meet our clients' lifetime needs. We also assist surviving family members to administer theior loved ones' estates and trusts, including admitting wills to probate, dealing with creditors, minimizing estate and  trust income tax, trust admninistration and transferring probate and non-probate assets.

We have extensive experience in cross-border estate planning relating to determining potential U.S. estate tax exposure and recommending tax minimizing strategies for Canadians who are dual nationals and/or who own U.S. real estate and stock in U.S. companies.  Several of our attorneys are Foreign Legal Consultants in Ontario.

Finally, we have the knowledge, skills and experience to confidently litigate estate matters and protect estates, fiduciaries and beneficiaries.
