Attorney Kevin Burke, a shareholder attorney in our Employment Law Practice Group, sat down for an interview with Business First reporter Katie Anderson this week to disucuss a recent Supreme Court ruiling that could have a far-reaching impact on employers.

The case in question centered on an employee suing for unpaid overtime wages he said he was owed, a fact  his employer, Helix Energy Solutions Group, disputed. The Court sided with the employee, in a case that offered clarity in the debate over whether or not highly compensated employees are still owed overtime pay if they are non-exempt and work more than 40 hours.
